Prayer
E. M. Bounds wrote:
“What the Church needs today is not more machinery or better methods, not new organizations or novel programs, but men [and women] whom the Holy Spirit can use – men of prayer, men mighty in prayer. The Holy Spirit does not flow through methods, but through men. He does not come on machinery, but on men. He does not anoint plans, but men – men of prayer.”
At GraceWest Bible Church, we are committed to developing a body of believers who constantly trust and rely on the Lord in prayer. Learning to trust God “with all our heart” and not lean on our own understanding begins with a life of prayer.
Prayer shapes everything we do. It permeates every plan, action, and ministry, and is central in leadership meetings, small group fellowships, and ministry planning sessions. On a corporate level, we hold a regular prayer meeting every Sunday 9:30am – 9:50am, to encourage and cultivate a Church devoted to prayer.
