Florante was born and raised in the Philippines and lived as a casual churchgoer. Before migrating to Australia, he worked as a career accountant, a profession he continues in today. After years of searching for spiritual truth across different religions and sects, Florante came to saving faith in Christ when he and his family arrived in Australia, through attending GraceWest’s Sunday services and Bible studies. His first connection with the church was in 2011, through a Bible study held in the home where he was staying.

Today, Florante serves as a Deacon and Treasurer at GraceWest Bible Church. He and his wife, Cha, have one son, Ovel. His heart is to see the local church stand as a beacon of God’s truth in the community, faithfully passing on the gospel to future generations while caring for the needs of the congregation with compassion and integrity.
