Our Beliefs
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. The Bible is God’s written revelation to man. It is verbally inspired in every word and absolutely inerrant in the original documents.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit each deserving worship and adoration.
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father and His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that the salvation of man who is sinful and lost is instantaneous and accomplished solely by the power of the Holy Spirit through the instrumentality of the Holy Scriptures when the repentant sinner – enabled by the Holy Spirit – responds in faith. This salvation is wholly by God’s grace on the basis of Jesus Christ’s redeeming work, the merit of His shed blood and not on human merit or works. All the redeemed are kept by God’s power and thus are secure in Christ forever.
We believe in the Spirit-filled life. The believer being fully consecrated is indwelt by the Holy Spirit at the moment of salvation whereby one is able to witness with power to the saving of souls, empowers them to serve and seals them unto the day of redemption.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. All who place their faith in Jesus Christ are immediately placed by the Holy Spirit into one united spiritual Body, the church of which Christ is the head. The purpose of the Church is to glorify God by building its members up in the faith, by instruction of the Word, by fellowship, by keeping the ordinances, and by advancing and communicating the gospel to the whole world. The church was initiated on the Day of Pentecost and will be completed at the coming of Christ for His own at the rapture.
Our Distinctive
Biblical Ministry – must have as its central focus to proclaim the excellencies of the gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world, and to see men and women brought to completeness in Him (Col. 1:28).
The Adoration of our Lord – When the church gathers for mutual ministry there should be the regular practice of corporate adoration and worship of the God we serve. Man’s ultimate purpose is to set the Lord continually before him. Psalm 16:8 I have set the LORD always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.
Repository of the Truth – Since the church exists to be a repository of divine truth, then a great deal of time must be devoted to proclaiming it. The Lord’s Day service has as its primary focus the preaching and teaching of the whole counsel of the Word of God.
The Edification of the Saints – It is not enough to simply listen to someone explain the Scriptures. We must have a vehicle through which we are regularly challenged by its commands, exhorted by its authority, encouraged by its promises and strengthened by the power of the Christ through obedience. This is accomplished by training and mentoring. There must be a commitment to the development of godly men and women who are able to disciple others toward spiritual maturity in Christ. We are to be committed to the development of spiritual giftedness of each member of the body. It is our goal to continually encourage one another to love and good works for the edification of others (Heb. 10:24-5).
The Evangelisation of the Lost – According to Matt. 28:18-20, our ultimate task is to reproduce ourselves by proclaiming Christ to every man and to bring him to the knowledge of the Saviour. This involves a compassion for the lost condition of those around us, a clear communication of the gospel to them, and a persuading and pleading with all to embrace Christ.
